Stretch marks are not aesthetically pleasing and mostly are left after pregnancy but also in cases of rapid weight loss. In addition to this they could also appear if a person is undergoing hormonal imbalance or even weight lifting. To make them disappear without any expenses and any creams available, following are some completely natural methods to cope with them.

1. Hydrate yourself

Your skin just like other components of your body is largely dependent on water to maintain its elasticity and natural soft appearance. By not drinking enough water we are only making our skin more susceptible to scars and wrinkles which dehydration will make more prominent. It is commonly advised to at least drink 8 to 9 glasses of water daily as it is also beneficial not just for your skin but also your body.

2. Lime juice

Treat yourself with this rich source of vitamin C and make your skin regain its former elasticity. This is because lemon boosts development of collagen which is responsible for making the skin more elastic. To gain advantage of this vitamin C goodness, just apply lime juice on the areas with stretch marks and leave it there for 10 minutes. Then wash it away with warm water and repeat this procedure and there will be visible improvement.

3. Aloe vera

This is a godsend for healing the skin as it is rich in antioxidants which support the healing of skin tissue restoring its strength and making it more supple. It also helps in the synthesis of collagen which makes the skin soft and smooth and more elastic.
If you are not sure whether you are allergic to it or not apply small amount on your hand and leave it there for a little time. If no adverse reaction is felt apply it on affected areas and wash it away with water after 10 minutes.

4. Applying castor oil

Catsor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid which is a proven ingredient of remedy for striae. Infact it is graded as a homeopathic remedy for stretch marks. It is also a good source of fatty acids which means it is a perfect moisturizer for your skin.
Apply the oil on the affected area and leave it there for 20 to 30 minutes. It is preferable to cover the area with a hot water bottle or apply some warmth on the area to quickly see the results.

5. Coconut oil

Another oil good for making those stretch marks fade away. It is rich in lauric acid which is known to be healing for the skin as it repairs dead and damaged skin cells.
Apply this on the affected area and leave it uncovered until the oil is fully absorbed. It may not completely make the stretch marks disappear but it will definitely fade them.
